Sutton Foster, an actor as well as a singer and dancer, has appeared in eleven Broadway productions and the most recent revival of Violet. She also originated the roles on Broadway in The Drowsy Chaperone and Little Women. Her Tony Award winning performances include Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie as well as Young Frankenstein. The first time she appeared on television in Star Search at age 15, and has more recently performed on Bunheads, Psych, Johnny and the Sprites, Flight of the Conchords, Sesame Street, Law and Order SVU and Royal Pains. Sutton Foster has toured the U.S. and around the world as a soloist along with Michael Rafter. She performed songs from "Wish" which was her debut solo disc, and the second one, "An evening With Sutton Foster live at the Caf Carlyle". Sutton received an honorary doctorate in the year 2011 from Ball State University, where she also serves as advisor and faculty member for the Department of Theatre and Dance. From March to date, her debut TVLand series "Younger", which was designed by Darren Star is a hit.
